One of the best things I ever did was get rid of my fax line and get an online fax account.

It saves me the expense of an extra phone line and maintaining a fax machine and now I can send faxes directly from my computer or scanner and receive them by email.

If I need to print them out I can do it cheaply on my laser printer which prints a better copy anyway and since they come through my email account I can receive faxes wherever I have access to the internet. This is really convenient when I'm traveling.
